Phase 1 Week 5

The 17th day began with morning prayer in the school. First hour I went to help Anju as she was conducting test paper on the chapter Prisms for class 9A.

In the third hour, I went for class observation at 8A of my colleague Drishya, English.


In the afternoon session, there was a function in the school, farewell to retiring teachers and blessing of language class. So there was no regular class. All students went to auditorium to attend the function. We were assigned substitution at 3rd standard and I was assigned to manage 3I for the last three hours. Children engaged in drawing, completing Malayalam copy books and notes and also played game - SIMON SAYS.

The 18th day has reached.

In the fourth hour I went for class observation of Arunima at 8A, Malayalam. She was teaching a poem and the class was interesting and interactive.


In the afternoon session, George Sir came for evaluating the Yoga class of four of my colleagues - Stijo, Arunima, Megha and Lekshmi. After the evaluation we took a group photo with George sir.


19th day has also passed by. I had  class in 9A during the 3rd period.


2nd February marks the 20th day of the teaching practice. As the exams were approaching I did some revisions in classes where I went for substitution.

On February 3rd,  the staff and management of the school went for a tour. So, there was no regular class on the day. Students were given this day as study holiday for the coming monthly exam.

  Sallying Forth to a New Journey    22/11/2021   Today is a special day in my life as it is my first day at Mar Theophilus Training College. A perfect beginning....  The day started with a prayer and as a newcomer I was lucky to get an inspirational class by an all rounder Dr. G. V. Hari. His words and thoughts acted as an energiser to provide a good start off to my journey to be a good teacher. A day full of energy...

    07/01/2022 Today's first hour began with the optional classes. We had Dona ma'am and she taught us about scientific method and the steps of scientific method. It includes different steps like finding a question then researching, formulating a hypothesis and testing of hypothesis. Analyzing , concluding and sharing of results. Then Neena ma'am further explained on scientific attitude, literacy etc. Next is my  favorite session - the arts class conducted by Reju sir. He gave a very interesting class on art and theater couldn't tell how time fly by. Many interesting games were also played of which I liked PAZHAM,PAPPADAM,CHAI game. Afternoon session M.Ed interns took classes on Spearman's two factor theory, child centered and life centered education and about secularism and education.
