Phase 1 Week 2

January 9th was the third day of our teaching pratice. As the school was preparing for the Golden Jubilee Celebrations, there was no regular class today. Only those students who have to pratice for the coming days programs were required to come to school.

January 10th was the most awaited day of Sarvodaya Vidyalaya - GOLDEN JUBILEE CELEBRATION. We were so excited to attend the program. All of us reached the school by 8:15 am, then signed the attendance register at principal's office. Then we went to the school auditorium. Vice principal, Terrin Ma'am assigned us discipline duty in the auditorium.

                        



 The program started at 9 am with prayer followed by annual report presentation by the principal. The formal function began at 10 am. Honourable Chief Minister, Sri Pinarayi Vijayan, His Beatitude Baselios Cardinal Cleemis, MLA Kadakampally Surendran, Principals of nearby institutions, former teachers of the school attended the meeting. The formal function ended by 10.30 am.










The most awaited cultural programs started. It was really a visual treat from the kindergarten to the 12 th grade.




The program ended by 12.30 pm. We took photos with the principal. The we signed the attendance register and left the school by 1.30 pm.

January 12th was the 6th day of my teaching practice. I reached the school by 8 am.

Today, Joju sir came for observation of my peers. Sir gave us some valuable tips :

  • Teach students rules to maintain discipline.
  • Break the cluster.
  • Don't shout at students.
  • Tell them motivational thoughts and so on.
In the 2nd hour I had substitution at 7B. 
Third period I had class in 8A. There I taught Polymers and Anju of maths optional came for observing my class.


In the afternoon session, I went for class observation at Drishya's class, 8A English. In the 6th hour, I had substitution at 6G. In the 7th hour, I had substitution at 7E. One child, Davis showed me his drawings. It was amazing. In the last hour I engaged in completing my record works.


The 7th day of teaching practice... One week completed...
Today I had to demonstrate an experiment to 9A students. So I went to the chemistry lab and got myself prepared.
 It was the pop sound experiment of hydrogen. Students were so curious to see the experiments.

  Sallying Forth to a New Journey    22/11/2021   Today is a special day in my life as it is my first day at Mar Theophilus Training College. A day full of energy...

    07/01/2022 Today's first hour began with the optional classes. We had Dona ma'am and she taught us about scientific method and the steps of scientific method. It includes different steps like finding a question then researching, formulating a hypothesis and testing of hypothesis. Analyzing , concluding and sharing of results. Then Neena ma'am further explained on scientific attitude, literacy etc. Next is my  favorite session - the arts class conducted by Reju sir. He gave a very interesting class on art and theater couldn't tell how time fly by. Many interesting games were also played of which I liked PAZHAM,PAPPADAM,CHAI game. Afternoon session M.Ed interns took classes on Spearman's two factor theory, child centered and life centered education and about secularism and education.
