Mesmerizing Moments @ MTTC

 30/06/2023 Today forth period I had class in 8B. As exams were approaching, a small test paper was put for the students on the topic properties of matter.  I did afternoon duty where we have to look the discipline. During  lunch break  all boys will come to the ground and girls will sit inside the vlass.Boys will play in the ground despite of the hot weather and dust.

 27/06/2023 Today was my first observation by our optional teacher- Dr.Neena Thomas. She observed my class my class in 8A during the sixth period. I took Distillation, Fractional Distillation and separating funnel to the students. An experiment was also demonstrated.  Then I had seventh period in 9B where I taught relative density.

 26/06/2023 Today we celebrated the Anti Drug Day. We conducted an awareness programme on the consequences of Drug abuse. The  chief guest was our principal Dr.Joju John sir.He gave a wonderful talk to the students and it was very useful. Then we took a pledge on Say NO to Drugs . Then we also showed a short film that highlighted the need of our time to raise our voice against Drug abuse.

 23/06/2023 Today was yet another beautiful day.I had class in 8B during 4th period where I taught them diffusion. It was an ICT integrated, demonstration class. Each class were preparing for the short film competition. So I went to 8B and asked them to speed up the script writing so that we could shoot the video as early as possible. 

 22/06/2023 Today we celebrated the last day of reading week. We the students of Mar Theophilus Training College had prepared a Akshara Maram in front of the school campus. Various articles of Hindi, malayalam, english literature were hanged in the tree.  Afternoon there was a special meeting in accordance with the reading week. Writer and poet, Sri. Vinod Vaisakhi was the guest of the program. He addressed the students regarding the importance of reading. It was a nice program.  I had substitution during 2nd and 3rd hour in 8B and 8A respectively.  Today Joju sir came to visit us. He gave some valuable guidelines and instructions.  During 7th period some students of 8th standard were send to Mar Ivanios College to see the library and book fest.  

 21/06/2023 International Yoga Day 2023 Today we celebrated International yoga day 2023.The theme of this year's yoga day is 'Vasudaiva kudumpaka'. We the students of Mar Theophilus  Training College has arranged a special programme on this day.A special  assembly of NCC,  NSS,SPC cadets were conducted. We taught 4 yoga asanas to the students. I gave the vote of thanks for the programme.    Fifth period I had class in 9B. There I taught floatation to the students.

 20/06/2023 Today marks the fifth day of the intense teaching practice phase 2. Everthing is going on smoothly. Today I got a substitution at 9B there I taught them forces in fluids and revised the topics which I have already taught. 7th period also I had an hour in 9B. I taught the students Archimedes principle.  I narrated the story of Archimedes 'Eureka' which the students have attentively listened. I also taught mathematical problems related to this topic. It was an ICT oriented activity integrated class. 

 19/06/2023 Today is the beginning of another week. First period I went for peer observation to 9c. There I observed a class taken by Nithin on the topic Viscosity. It was a interactive class where demonstrations on Viscosity was shown to the students. Fourth period I went to observe Anulekshmi's class in 9A where she taught Bohr's model of atom from chemistry.  My class was during 7th period in 8B. There I taught about diffusion. It was an ICT oriented class. Students were taught this topic by taking examples from the daily life situations.  Today Ancy ma'am visited us in the morning.

 16/06/2023 Today was yet another beautiful day. I reached school at 9am. Forth period I took chemistry in 9B .There I taught change of states. I had substitution during 7th period in 8A. The students did their works.  Once the period was over, the students were sent in line to outside.  During the break hours I visited the chemistry lab. There is no separate room for chemistry lab,it was a science where models and other accessories of other subjects were also kept. When it comes to chemistry, there is not much apparatus and chemicals in the high school wing but we could get it from the chemistry lab of higher secondary wing.

 15/06/2023 Today I came to the school at 8.45am. I had morning duty at the footpath. I stood there and controlled discipline from 8.45am to 9.30 am. Then there was assembly conducted by the 9th standard students which was till 11 am. After lunch break I got a substitution at 8D. It is a malayalam medium batch and there I had a casual interaction with the students.  SPC Physical Test            SPC physical test was conducted from 2pm to 4.30pm. It was a new experience for me. various test were conducted for the boys and girls. First we started with the girls. There were 21 students. Test like shot put,streching jumb,standing jump were conducted. For boys items like shot put,streching jumb,standing jump,100m race, push up were conducted. After the test we got tea and snacks. We went back home at 4.30pm.

 14/06/2023 Today began the phase 2 of intense teaching practice. The school alloted to me is St.John's Model HSS, Nalanchira. Our team leader is Parvathy of Natural Science and Our assistant leader is Austin of English optional. Being the first day we reached the college by 8.45 am.we met the headmaster Bijo Geevargeese sir.He gave us some instructions. From 9.30 to10, Mathew sir gave us an orientation class.  Third period I went to 8A for substitution. Then 5th hour I went to 9B where I had to teach physics. I gave a introduction on buoyancy to the students. It was a good day.
